Top 2 new features in SAP S/4HANA 2022 FPS02 Sales

We are excited to present the latest updates on SAP S/4HANA 2022 FPS02 Sales. SAP released the second Feature Pack Stack (FPS02) for SAP S/4HANA 2022 on May 26, 2023.

Building on the success of FPS01, which was introduced earlier this year, FPS02 offers a remarkable range of features that focus on simplification, innovation, and an improved user experience.

The new SAP S/4HANA 2022 FPS02 release provides valuable updates for the Sales Line of Business (LoB). These updates in Order and Contract Management emphasize APIs and automation to drive company growth and success.

Claims, Returns, and Refund Management

The main enhancements for Sales are categorized into two areas:

1. New APIs that enhance integration and communication with Sales processes

2. Additional automation features that streamline and improve Sales operations

Simulate Credit and Debit Memo Request OData API’s

With SAP S/4HANA 2022 FPS02 Sales, the Debit Memo Request (A2X) and Credit Memo Request (A2X) OData API services allow simulation of creating a debit or credit memo request to retrieve data, such as request details, business partners, and price elements.

These two new OData APIs enable you to simulate credit and debit memo requests in the SAP S/4HANA system. Upon successful simulation, you can trigger a corresponding create OData service – Credit Memo Request (A2X) or Debit Memo Request (A2X), to generate credit and debit memo requests.

Deprecated Returns Inspection API

The OData API Returns Inspection (A2X) (API_RETURNS_INSPECTION) has been deprecated and replaced with the new OData API Returns Inspection (API_RETURNSINSPECTION_2). This deprecated API will be removed in the upcoming SAP S/4HANA 2023 release.

Order-to-Invoice Automation

Automation of Order-to-Invoice with SAP Ariba Network (4A1) now supports sending header attachments on Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASN) from SAP S/4HANA.

This automation links SAP S/4HANA with SAP Business Network via SAP Integrated Suite, managed gateway, and automates sales processing for suppliers and trading partners.
